The All Ukrainian public organization «Association of protected areas of Ukraine»

The All Ukrainian public organization «Association of protected areas of Ukraine» (Association) is the national public organization created for support of Ukrainian protected areas, consolidate protected areas in uniform system, and raise the level of natural reserve fund management and the level of nation’s ecological education on the basis of use of intellectual potential and material means, contribute the realization of All European Strategy of Biological and Landscape Biodiversity Protection and the Statewide Program for the Formation of Ukraine’s National Ecological Network for 2000-2015 approved by the Law of Ukraine No. 1989-III of 21.09.2000.

The goal of the Association is to:

-      protect, regenerate and ecologically balanced use of natural resources on the natural reserve fund territories of Ukraine and on the reserved territories;

-      contribute the expansion of the National Ecological Network area, unite it with ecological networks of neighbor states entering the All European Ecological Network, and the developing of international collaboration in this sphere;

-      participate in developing of national ecological politics of the state, improve the legal basement for protection, expansion, reproduction and reserving of the system of territories with natural landscape and other unique territories;

-      participate in developing plans of natural reserve fund territories management;

-      organize and finance corresponding scientific researches and monitoring of natural systems;

-      organize joint publishing and educational works;

-      contribute the development of national and international cooperation for raising of prestige and increasing potential of natural reserved territories of Ukraine.
