The all-Ukrainian consultative meeting on natural reserves development headed by the President of Ukraine


The President of Ukraine Victor Yuschenko headed the all-Ukrainian consultative meeting on natural reserves development in Shatsk National park
The President called to formulate strategic ways of natural reserve fund development
Deputy Head of the State Forestry Committee of Ukraine Mykola Vedmid
The Minister for Environmental Protection of Ukraine Georgiy Filipchuk
President talked to representatives from regional ecological administrations and regional forestry administrations, heads of national parks and natural reserves, representatives of local government authorities, and representatives of the UNDP-GEF Project
The President called to use alternative financial sources to finance the natural protected areas and reservses.
After the meeting UNDP-GEF Project experts together with the State Agency for Protected Areas of Ukraine conducted a workshop on management of protected areas for the heads of national parks and natural reserves.
During the workshop UNDP-GEF Project presented a document for evaluation of protected area management effectiveness in Ukraine
